Glycerin, also known as glycerol, is a carbohydrate (sugar) used as a smoothing agent in producing flavoured spirits. The product, ML120, is odourless and has a slightly sweet taste. It is added to the heart to improve its fullness and mouthfeel. Despite being a carbohydrate, glycerin is not a substantial food source for most wine yeast strains.
